We have scheduled the next club outing at the Fred Berry Conservation Education Center located just outside Yellville, Arkansas on a 2.75 mile bend of Crooked Creek on Wednesday August 28, 2024 from 8am to around 3pm. The Fred Berry Nature Center opens at 8:30 AM and the gate giving access to the Nature Center opens then. However, you can park in a lot near the gate and access Crooked Creek before then.
This is a member's only event, and each member can bring a guest. Registration is not required, but REQUESTED to allow for planning of the food needed.
The club will provide lunch around noon at the pavillion. It will include bread, cheese, cold cuts, chips, bottled water, soft drinks, and condiments (mustard and mayo). Plates, napkins, and flatware are also provided. My wife, Lori, has promised a pan of her famous brownies. I am bringing donuts in case you miss breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish. A chilled watermelon would be nice. There was no furniture there yesterday, so I recommend that you bring a chair. I will have a folding table to set up lunch and a trash can.
