About this event

Out of Africa Adventure

Our program this month is a bit different. The DOGE cuts laid off our speaker, so we will have a fill-in. The topic is fishing but also lions, tigers, leopards, elephants, cape buffalo, zebras, and tons of other animals. Patty Lueken will be sharing her experiences in Southern Africa. Learn if Patty caught the elusive Tiger Fish. Come hear whether Patty caught any fish. Let her describe the night she is sure a lion was outside her tent, but the guides thought it was only an elephant. Gulp! See a painted dog, a real live animal. Watch Patty feed the elephants. Learn a bit about how the African people live. See pictures of Victoria Falls. Come one, come all. Get your tickets….

The African women in the villages must pay for their children to go to public school. In order to have the funds, many women have learned a craft. Patty will tell you about the school situation and will show you one craft that caught her eye. In fact, if you are the lucky ticket holder, you may take it home with you. So, come have dinner, good company and potentially win a prize. See you at Jamie’s Restaurant at 5:00 PM!
